Caring for Every Smile, at Every Age

Our family dentistry services at Dental K Desa Sri Hartamas provide complete dental care for patients of all ages — from children to seniors. Whether it's routine check-ups, preventive care, or restorative treatments, we focus on maintaining healthy smiles for the whole family. With gentle techniques, modern technology, and a caring approach, we ensure every visit is comfortable and stress-free.

Routine Check-Up

Twice-yearly dental examinations that catch cavities, gum disease, and other problems early, before they become painful or costly.

Regular dental check-ups are the best way to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Our dentists perform a thorough examination of your mouth, teeth, and gums to detect problems early - from cavities to gum disease. Where needed, we take low-radiation digital X-rays to spot problems hidden below the surface, and we can apply fluoride during your visit as a quick preventive boost - useful for children and for adults with sensitive teeth. With preventive care, we help you avoid painful emergencies and costly treatments later on.

How often should I visit a dentist for a check-up?

Every 6 months is recommended, though your dentist may suggest more frequent visits if you have ongoing issues.

What happens during a dental check-up?

We'll check for cavities, gum health, oral cancer screening, and may recommend an X-ray if needed.

Are dental X-rays safe?

Yes. We use digital X-rays, which need far less radiation than traditional film, and we only take them when there's a clinical reason to.

Dentures & One-Day Dentures

Custom-made partial or full dentures with a secure, natural-looking fit — including complete dentures made and fitted in a single visit.

Most clinics take 4 to 6 visits to make a complete denture. For suitable cases, we can do it in one - examination, impressions, fabrication and fitting all in a single day, so you leave with your new teeth the same day you arrive. Whether you need a partial denture or a full set, we design natural-looking, comfortable dentures from modern materials that fit securely and look just like natural teeth.

If you would prefer teeth that stay fixed in place, ask about All-on-4 implant options — a complete arch of implant-supported teeth, placed in-house by our oral & maxillofacial surgeon. Unlike one-day dentures, implant treatment takes place over several visits, with temporary teeth to keep you smiling while you heal.

Are dentures in one day really possible?

Yes - for suitable cases we can complete a full denture in a single visit, from impressions to fitting. Suitability depends on your gums and any remaining teeth, so WhatsApp us and we'll let you know whether a one-day denture is right for you.

Are dentures painful to wear?

No, well-fitted dentures should be comfortable. Some adjustment time may be needed.

Can dentures look natural?

Yes, modern dentures are designed to look very close to natural teeth.

I'm travelling from Ipoh, Penang or JB — can I really finish in one day?

For most standard full and partial dentures, yes. Send us photos on WhatsApp first — we confirm your suitability and give you a full quote before you travel. Arrive at 10 AM and you'll head home with your new denture by dinner.

Tongue-Tie Release (Frenectomy)

Assessment and release of tongue-tie — for babies struggling to feed, and for older children and adults where a restricted frenulum affects eating or speech.

Tongue-tie (ankyloglossia) is a frenulum — the small band of tissue under the tongue — that is tighter or shorter than usual and limits how far the tongue can move. In newborns it can make latching and feeding difficult; in older children and adults it can affect eating, speech and cleaning the teeth.

We assess and treat babies as well as older children and adults. The release itself is done with electrocautery, which cuts and seals at the same time, so there is very little bleeding and the procedure is quick.

Assessment comes first, and it is genuinely an assessment: not every tongue-tie needs releasing. Many babies feed perfectly well with one. If your child's tie is not causing a problem, we will tell you so rather than treat it.

  • Babies — assessment where feeding or latching is difficult
  • Children & adults — where a restricted tongue affects eating or speech
  • Electrocautery technique — cuts and seals together, so bleeding is minimal
  • Honest assessment first — if the tie is not causing a problem, we will say so
Do you treat tongue-tie in babies?

Yes. We assess and release tongue-tie in babies as well as in older children and adults. Message us on WhatsApp with your baby's age and what you are noticing while feeding, and we will arrange an assessment.

Does every tongue-tie need to be treated?

No — and this matters. Plenty of babies with a tongue-tie feed without any trouble, and plenty of adults never notice one. Treatment is for cases where the tie is actually causing a problem, which is what the assessment is for. If it is not, we will tell you.

How is the release done?

With electrocautery, which releases the frenulum and seals the tissue at the same moment. That means very little bleeding and a quick procedure, without stitches in most cases.

What does tongue-tie release cost in Malaysia?

You will be given the cost at the assessment, before anything is decided — along with an honest view of whether treatment is needed at all.

Tooth-Coloured Fillings

Composite resin fillings that repair cavities, chips, and cracks while blending invisibly with natural teeth.

Say goodbye to silver fillings. Our tooth-coloured fillings blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, offering both durability and aesthetics. We use composite resin fillings to repair cavities, chips, or cracks while keeping your smile looking natural.

How long do tooth-coloured fillings last?

They typically last 7 to 10 years with proper care.

Are tooth-coloured fillings safe?

Yes, they are made of safe, durable composite resin.

Scaling and Air Polishing

Professional cleaning that removes plaque, tartar, and surface stains — helping prevent gum disease and reduce bad breath.

Professional cleaning with scaling and air polishing removes plaque, tartar, and surface stains for a healthier, fresher smile. This treatment helps prevent gum disease, reduces bad breath, and keeps your teeth sparkling.

How often should I get scaling done?

Every 6 months, or more frequently if you have gum issues.

Is scaling painful?

Most patients only feel mild discomfort; air polishing is gentle and effective.

Tooth Extractions

Safe, gentle removal of teeth that cannot be saved — such as badly damaged or severely decayed teeth — with modern, comfort-focused techniques.

Sometimes a tooth cannot be saved. Our dentists provide safe, gentle tooth extractions with a focus on your comfort, using modern techniques for a smooth, stress-free procedure. Impacted and wisdom teeth are handled by our oral surgery team.

Is tooth extraction painful?

No, local anaesthesia ensures a comfortable procedure. Some mild soreness after is normal.

How long is recovery?

Most patients recover in 2 to 3 days with proper care.

Customised Mouthguards

Personalised mouthguards for sports and teeth grinding (bruxism) that fit comfortably and protect better than store-bought options.

Protect your teeth with customised mouthguards. Whether for sports or teeth grinding (bruxism), our dental team creates personalised guards that fit comfortably and provide maximum protection. Unlike store-bought options, custom mouthguards are designed specifically for your teeth.

Do I need a custom mouthguard or is a ready-made one okay?

Custom mouthguards offer better protection, comfort, and durability.

Can mouthguards help with teeth grinding?

Yes, night guards prevent wear and protect against jaw pain from grinding.
